1. Basic concept

We, the Board of Audit of Japan (hereinafter referred to as "the Board”), collect basic information on anyone visiting our web site (https://www.jbaudit.go.jp/: hereinafter referred to as "this website") to the extent necessary for smooth operation of this website and a service (for provision of information and acceptance of opinions, etc.) of the Board.

The information collected or registered is only used within the scope necessary for the prescribed purposes.

2. Scope of information to be collected or registered

  • (1) This website automatically collects information pertaining to visits to this website, such information as domain names and originating IP addresses. The Board use cookies (files that a web server sends to your browser and which are stored on your hard drive, and allow the web server to identify you) in the pages provided by this website to collect information about you. However, the Board does not use cookies to collect any information that can identify individual visitors.

  • (6) Information collected through proceedings under 2. (4) shall be used only in case of necessity for processing of a request for disclosure of administrative documents under Information Disclosure Law.
  • (7) Information collected under 2. (5) will only be used when necessary to process requests for disclosure, correction, or cessation of use of personal information held by the Board in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.

4. Restrictions on use and provision of the information

The Board shall not, except in cases where a request has been made to provide collected information by law and where there are special reasons, including cases where unlawful acts, such as illegal access, threats, etc., have occurred, use the said information for other purposes than the purposes under 3 nor provide a third party with the said information. With regard to information on access to this website, statistically processed data on the information may be released on this website.

5. Measures to ensure security

  • (1) The Board shall take the necessary measures to properly administer collected information, such as prevention of leakage, deletion and alteration of the information.
    While we are outsourcing operation and management of equipment to operate this website, the outsource shall also take the necessary measures to properly administer collected information.
