28th Tokyo International Meeting on Audit

On December 4-5,2024,28th Tokyo International Meeting on Audit was held inTokyo.

The Tokyo International Meeting on Audit aims to share information and exchange opinions on specific topics related to audits based on audit experiences, and find better ways to solve the problems facing the Board of Audit of Japan and Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) in other countries.

The 28th meeting ― the first one was held in 1996 ― dealt with the theme " Capacity Development in SAIs
-for effective and efficient human resources development-". In this meeting, senior officials from SAIs in five countries gave presentations on their efforts to achieve high performance as SAIs from the standpoint of human resources management/human capital management, addressing issues such as the work-life balance of their staff. They discussed common challenges faced by SAIs in each country, lessons learned, and future priority issues, such as balancing work (including business trips and training) and family (childcare, nursing care, and leisure time), and career development (especially support for female staff), etc.
