On July 17 and 18, 2025, the 62nd ASOSAI Governing Board Meeting and the 1st ASOSAI-ARABOSAI Joint Meeting were held in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The ASOSAI Governing Board Meeting is held once a year to report on the activities conducted by ASOSAI and INTOSAI since the last meeting, and for ASOSAI to decide on activity plans for the following year onwards.
At the 62nd Governing Board Meeting, relevant SAIs were in charge of reporting on the status of ASOSAI’s activities since the 16th ASOSAI Assembly (held in New Delhi, India in September 2024). President HARADA also gave a report on ASOSAI capacity development activities as the Capacity Development Administrator of ASOSAI.
At the 1st ASOSAI-ARABOSAI Joint Meeting, the first joint meeting between the two regional organizations, presentations were delivered by several member SAIs on two key themes: “Audit response to climate change” and “The use of Artificial Intelligence in audit.” The meeting proved to be fruitful, with participating SAIs sharing a wide range of insights and experiences related to both topics.
