Participation in the 77th INTOSAI Governing Board Meeting
On November 21, 2023, the 77th Governing Board Meeting of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) was held in Vienna, Austria. Commissioner TANAKA of the Board of Audit of Japan participated in the Meeting.
Elected by the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI), the Board of Audit of Japan has served as a member of the Governing Board of INTOSAI since 2013.
The Governing Board meets once a year. The mandate of the Governing Board includes revising and approving INTOSAI strategic plans, deciding on whether to grant admission to a Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) wishing to join INTOSAI, and approving annual budgets.
At the meeting, the theme of the 25th INCOSAI (congress of INTOSAI), to be held in Egypt in 2025, and the nomination of Indonesia as the host country of the 26th INCOSAI were decided.
