On November 8, 2022, the 76th Governing Board Meeting of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Board of Audit of Japan participated online and contributed to the Meeting by sending comments and voting on the motions beforehand.
The Board of Audit of Japan has been elected by the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) and has served as a member of the Governing Board of INTOSAI since 2013.
The Governing Board meets once a year. The mandate of the Governing Board includes revising and approving INTOSAI strategic plans, deciding on whether to grant admission to a Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) wishing to join INTOSAI, and approving annual budgets.
At the meeting, the INTOSAI Strategic Plan 2023-2028 and INTOSAI triennial budget 2023-2025 were approved.
